RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Empty trash and recycling containers; dispose of waste properly.

• Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).

• Monitor and report maintenance or safety issues (e.g., leaks, damaged furniture, broken fixtures).

• Set up and take down furniture for events, assemblies, and chapel services as needed.

• Secure the building (lock doors/windows, turn off lights, etc.) at the end of shifts.

• Follow all cleaning protocols and school safety guidelines.

• Treat all staff, students, and guests with respect and professionalism in line with Christian values.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders.

• Must pass a background check and adhere to all school safety and conduct policies.

PREFERRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
